    Today, Mayor Bloomberg joined the Museum of the Moving Image to announce that the Museum will be the permanent home for Jim Henson’s creations including 400 puppets, costumes and props- the Muppets, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock and more!

    “It’s only fitting that this extraordinary collection of puppets, costumes, props, and more should find a home in New York, where imagination and free expression are part of the fabric of our city, and where anyone who’s watched an episode of ‘Sesame Street’ sees the inspiration provided by the vibrant neighborhoods and characters that make our city so extraordinary.” - Mayor Bloomberg

    We couldn’t be happier!

    Honored to be there to see this announcement … It’s gonna be a great exhibit I have no doubt

  • As I’m laying here attempting sleep, I’m counting my blessings. Ok, I hate counting. But I am thinking about all my friends. My friends near and far. My Muppet friends and, well, everyone else. Friends I see daily and old friends I haven’t met, yet. And I am entirely humbled and grateful. You put up with my insanity on a daily basis, and in exchange I hope you receive what you need. The bottom line is, this a note from a very humbled man who is grateful for all the love he receives daily from all the people out there in the universe. I hope the universe knows I have a funny way of showing it, but I am open to receiving this love and reciprocating it, it’s just hard for me. So, ditto. So, not to go all Bea Arthur, but Thank You For Being a Friend. Thank you for loving me. You. Yes, you. Sometimes, I’m just lucky, I guess. Ok, enough mushiness. I’m going to cuddle my dog and go night-night.
